Austin Star Barn Quilt Pattern
Over the stormy grey weekend that we had here is Utah, I had the chance to write the pattern for one of our most asked for patterns, the Austin Star Barn Quilt. We designed this quilt last summer and painted it with our favorite Prairie Paint Colors against a striking black background. I love to think of this design as a cross between our most purchased Texas Star and the really big grand dad of all stars, the Lonestar.

Austin Star Barn Quilt Pattern
Our patterns are designed to be scaled to any size barn quilt board or surface you want to paint a design on. One of the key issues with scaling a design is how to get something really complicated onto a board and I am so happy to say that our How To Paint A Barn Quilt Guide will answer these questions.
The biggest issue is just as in fabric quilting, the more complicated the design, or the smaller the block, the more tedious it is for paint of stitch. Larger is often times so much easier to create. Our patterns are adaptable to any size. I have painted stars on little itty bitty barn quilts for birdhouses and angels and have also painted the same design to cover an entire floor. It is so fun to use the same design in all kinds of places!

Paper Hearts Barn Quilt
Our newest barn quilt design is the Paper Hearts. Inspired by the paper chains we made in elementary school to decorate the windows and chalkboards of our class rooms. I loved making them as a child, and I loved painting this barn quilt to hang on my front porch for the month of February.

The Flying Swallow is a traditional quilt design, which we designed as a colorful rainbow prism with white and black as an anchor. We have painted many of these and shipped them all over the US and Europe. It is one of my all time favorites.

The Swiss Christmas is a striking clean and simple little tree, made of Swiss Crosses and painted in my favorite Prairie Paint greens. This design is an original from us at Tweetle Dee and was created to honor our Swiss friends, and there love of simple design. For years, we have brought this with us to all of our Swiss events and it is a much loved design. Now, the pattern is available as a PDF download or a paper pattern, ready for shipping to your mailbox.
Chadwick Farms was a custom design for a family in the east, who loved the Blue Willow paint color from our Prairie Paint Collection and wanted to design a classic looking original quilt design for their farm. Those opportunities are what motivates us to create from the heart. We have had so many of you ask for this design in a pattern, and now it is here in the shop as a PDF download and a paper pattern too.
