About

I'm Abby Hicks, the hands and heart behind Tweetle Dee—a home for embroidery, barn quilts, and the timeless beauty of handmade traditions. With a needle in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, I share stories woven from memory, color, and the rhythm of the seasons.

Rooted in the earth and inspired by the sky, I find joy in the small things—wildflowers along the fence line, the hush of snowfall, the scent of cedar and warm molasses cookies. My designs are shaped by my childhood on a New York farm, the heritage of my ancestry, I still celebrate, and the belief that creativity connects us to something deeper.

Whether I’m teaching embroidery in a sunny studio, painting barn quilts with Prairie Paints, or writing letters to our community, everything I make is meant to inspire. To slow you down. To remind you that beauty and meaning are often stitched into the simplest of things.

Welcome to Tweetle Dee, where every piece begins with a story and ends with a little bit of magic.

  1. Do you sell your patterns for the barn quilts ? I'd like to try to paint one for myself. Thanks
