Winter Wonderland Reception

I am so happy to share these detail shots from Michael and Chelsea's wedding with you.  Their "Winter Wonderland Wedding"  was a dreamy night with lots of white, warmth, great food and dancing!  They wanted their reception to be simple and something they had a hand in putting together.  I don't think there was one aspect of their reception that did not have a little bit of their love in it.

We loved sharing this night with them.  A special mention goes out to Miranda Elliott for her photography,  Adam Mah for the music (he brought the house down...literally), Amber Hicks for the gorgeous (and yummy) cake, Mike Hicks for the hours of waffle making, their amazing family for the hours of help with set up and clean up,  Maggie Stone and Camilla Hondel for their "first dance" serenade, Wendy Pray for the linens, and our many friends who added their support!!!

Thank you to all for helping to make Michael and Chelsea's dreams come true!  We love you all!!!

A Winter Wedding Day

Just three short weeks ago our son Michael and his sweet bride Chelsea were married in the Salt Lake Temple!  It was a freezing cold day...but our hearts were warmed as we watched them promise their love and devotion to each other.  She wanted a winter wonderland wedding and I think she got her wish with temperatures in the teens and a ton of bright sunshine on the snow.  It was a beautiful day for them...

She was the prettiest bride and of course...Micheal was darling too!  Their photographer was Miranda Elliott.  We were grateful to her for braving the freezing temps to get some beautiful shots of them.  I can't wait to see the rest and share them with you!!!

It usually takes me a few weeks to get our lives back to normal after a wedding, you know a ton of linens to wash, stuff to pack away, and family to say goodbye to...but their wedding was pure joy for me.  I think their gratitude to have each other and their family together made up for all the late nights we spent pulling everything together.

I can honestly say I love my new daughter-in-law and couldn't have asked for a sweeter girl to join our family.  So, with Valentine's Day just two days away it is sweet to see that old fashioned love still does exist out there.  I'll be posting two new sweetheart patterns later this week that are perfect for Valentine's Day and for weddings.
